Fatal Crash on Interstate 80 Freeway in Fairfield
FAIRFIELD, Calif. (March 25, 2021) — A fatal Fairfield crash left at least one person dead early Thursday on the Interstate 80 Freeway.
The Fairfield crash happened about 6:05 a.m. on March 25th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Also, the CHP reports a vehicle was facing the wrong way on the right shoulder after the collision. The CHP report did not provide details about what led to the crash.
Meanwhile, two big rig trucks and two other vehicles were blocking the roadway, according to the Napa Police Department.
The Solano County coroner responded to the scene and investigators are seeking to determine fault for the fatal Fairfield crash.
The identity of the person who died has not been released. Also, the CHP report does not state how many people died, nor their gender or age.
