At Least One Person Killed in Fallbrook Crash
FALLBROOK, Calif. (Sept. 13, 2021) — A fatal Fallbrook crash on the Escondido (15) Freeway happened Sunday after a vehicle struck a barrier and bridge railing.
The crash happened about 1:20 a.m. on Sept. 12th near Mission Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The vehicle reportedly crashed on the southbound side of the Escondido Freeway.
Police Investigate Fallbrook Car Accident
Police closed down the southbound lanes of the freeway at 1:50 a.m. to allow an air ambulance to land.
It’s unknown at this time how many people were in the vehicle. One person died at the scene of the Fallbrook crash on the 15 Freeway. The identity of the person who died is unknown at this time.
Meanwhile, there was possibly another person taken to a hospital.
Police reopened the freeway about 2:50 a.m., but the investigation into what happened is ongoing.
