Car Rear-ended by Truck in Fatal Hwy 33 Crash
FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (Oct. 31, 2018) — A 34-year-old Biola man died this morning when his cotton module truck rear-ended another big rig truck on Highway 33 in Firebaugh, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash took place about 6:53 a.m. at Shaw Avenue. The CHP report had few details about what happened, but police are heading up an investigation into the crash and liability.
The other truck driver, identified as 59-year-old Martha Parra of Mendota, did not report any injuries at the scene.
Firebaugh Crash Investigation
Police are reviewing the evidence and any witness statements to determine fault. The investigation will consist of looking at measurements of evidence left by the vehicles such as point of impact, final resting positions of the vehicles, skid marks, and gouge marks.
