UPDATE: Woman Killed in Crash ID’d by San Bernardino Coroner
FONTANA, California (March 18, 2015) — A fatal crash was reported Wednesday morning between six drivers on the eastbound Interstate 10 Freeway at Sierra Avenue, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
The driver of a gray Smart Car collided with a car carrier truck, a tow truck and several other cars. Paramedics responded to help a woman who was trapped in the car, but it appears she died at the scene. She was later identified as Ivette Delgado Arauz, 32, of Rancho Cucamonga.
Police will investigate the crash to determine liability.
“My condolences go out to the family of this woman as they cope with this tragedy,” said Attorney James Johnson. “I hope those who were hurt in the crash have a full recovery.”
