Fontana Woman, 27, Killed in Hit-and-run Crash
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, Calif. (August 15, 2023) — A 27-year-old Fontana woman died in a pedestrian accident Saturday morning at Foothill Boulevard and Sierra Avenue.
The deadly, hit-and-run crash occurred around midnight on Saturday morning August 12th, according to the Fontana Police Department.
Police officers responded to the intersection where they located the gravely-injured pedestrian, but the driver failed to stop and help her, according to the Fontana Herald News.
Despite efforts to save the person’s life, but she died at the scene at 12:09 a.m., according to a press release by the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.
The identity of the person who is believed to be a transient will be released after family members are notified.
Meanwhile, the case remains under investigation by the Fontana Police Department.
