Woman Struck, Killed in Crash at Live Oak and San Bernardino Avenues
FONTANA, Calif. (Sept. 26, 2022) — A fatal Fontana pedestrian accident happened Monday morning at Live Oak and San Bernardino avenues, just south of Live Oak Elementary School.
The deadly crash occurred about 10:35 p.m. on Sept. 26th, in front of 14923 San Bernardino Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a driver in a black GMC struck the woman after she allegedly “ran into the street,” the report said.
The pedestrian became stuck underneath the vehicle and died on scene. Also, the GMC’s driver suffered undisclosed injuries in the crash.
Paramedics responded and transferred the motorist to Kaiser Ontario for further treatment.
Authorities noted in the report there is a video surveillance camera mounted on Live Oak Elementary School, but it was pointed north.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Fontana pedestrian accident.
