Driver Hits Pedestrian on El Dorado Street
FRENCH CAMP, Calif. (Feb. 5, 2024) — A fatal pedestrian accident happened Monday morning at South El Dorado Street and French Camp Road.
The collision occurred at around 4:56 a.m. on Feb. 5th, south of the bridge, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials report a driver called 911 after their vehicle became disabled when they “ran someone over,” the dispatch said.
It happened in the northbound lanes of French Camp Road, just south of French Camp Road, the report said.
Emergency responders confirmed the death of one person at the scene. The victim’s gender, age and identity were not released, pending family notification.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the pedestrian accident on El Dorado Street.
