Fatal Fresno Crash at Audubon Drive and Friant Road

Huy Nguyen Truong, 20, of Fresno, Identified as Driver Killed

FRESNO, Calif. (April 9, 2024) – A 20-year-old man died in a four-vehicle crash Sunday morning at Audubon Drive and Friant Road in northeast Fresno.

The deadly crash occurred at around 9 p.m. on April 7th, according to Your Central Valley news.

The driver who died was later identified by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office on Monday.

Authorities reported a driver allegedly ran through a red traffic light and collided with three other motorists at Audubon Drive and Friant Road.

The young man was driving one of the vehicles and sustained major injuries in the crash. He was transported to a local hospital where he later died.

It’s unknown at this time how many others were injured in the wreck.

Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the crash, but preliminary results indicate alcohol and/or drugs were not a factor in the collision.
