Woman Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Herndon Avenue
FRESNO, Calif. (Nov. 11, 2021) — A fatal Fresno pedestrian accident on Herndon Avenue happened Thursday morning west of Milburn Avenue in northwest Fresno.
UPDATE: Marylou Lujan Caballero, 53, was identified as the woman who died in the Fresno pedestrian accident.
The deadly crash happened about 5:45 a.m. on Nov. 11th, according to the Fresno Bee.
The driver told authorities they didn’t see the pedestrian until after hitting the person in the westbound lanes of Herndon Avenue.
Also, the motorist exited their vehicle and located the woman deceased in the roadway, the report said.
Someone called 911 to report the pedestrian accident and Fresno police responded to Herndon Avenue.
Authorities closed down westbound Herndon Avenue for several hours to investigate the collision. Police do not suspect alcohol or drugs were a factor, however, the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Finally, the Fresno County Sheriff Coroner later identified the victim.
