Pedestrian Killed in Crash on Highway 41 in Fresno
FRESNO, Calif. (April 13, 2022) — A fatal Fresno pedestrian accident on Highway 41 north of Friant Road happened Tuesday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Now the CHP is investigating what led up to the 11 p.m. crash on April 12th in northeast Fresno, ABC 30 News reports.
Authorities say Jeremy Baker, 42, was walking across the southbound lanes of Highway 41. An oncoming driver in a 2009 Cadillac struck the pedestrian and he was thrown into the center media. Sadly, the man suffered major injuries and died at the scene.
The Fresno County Sheriff Coroner later identified the pedestrian as Jeremy Baker.
Meanwhile, 19-year-old Elmer Villatorro of Fresno, and his 17-year-old passenger, did not report any injuries after the pedestrian accident on Highway 41. They are cooperating with the CHP investigation into what happened.
Finally, investigators do not suspect drugs or alcohol were factors.
