Man Struck and Killed in Fresno Intersection
FRESNO, Calif. (Jan. 10, 2022) — A fatal Fresno pedestrian accident at Shaw Avenue and Marty Avenue happened early Monday morning.
A driver struck and killed a man about 3:30 a.m. on Jan. 10th in northwest Fresno, according to ABC 30 Action News.
The driver stopped after hitting the pedestrian in the accident on Shaw Avenue. The motorist told investigators they did not see the victim crossing the street at the intersection of Shaw and Marty. Sadly, the male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not released the victim’s name and age pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, the motorist is cooperating with the police and authorities do not believe drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
The investigation into the cause of the fatal pedestrian accident on Shaw Avenue remains under investigation. Police closed down the intersection of Shaw and Marty for several hours, but it has since reopened.
