Hit-and-Run Driver Sought by Fullerton Police
FULLERTON, Calif. (Dec. 11, 2024) – A woman walking with her bicycle on Orangethorpe Avenue Monday night was struck and killed by two motorists. One driver stopped after the pedestrian accident, but the second one fled the scene.
Fullerton police are hoping the public can help them locate the suspect who fled after the 8 p.m. crash on Dec. 9th at South Euclid Street and West Orangethorpe Avenue.
Police responding to the scene located the woman down in the left eastbound lane of Orangethorpe, but unfortunately, she was pronounced dead at the scene. The Orange County Coroner’s Office will identify the woman after they notify her family.
The 32-year-old Westminster driver in a 2003 Lexus RX 300 reportedly struck her first and stopped to call for help.
The second driver in a light-colored pickup truck failed to stop and fled the scene, police said.
