Pedestrian Struck, Killed on Chapman Avenue in Garden Grove
GARDEN GROVE, Calif. (Nov. 29, 2022) – A fatal Garden Grove pedestrian accident happened Monday night on Chapman Avenue near Medina Drive.
The person was allegedly walking through the middle of the intersection when an oncoming vehicle hit them, according to County News Service.
Authorities responded to the scene around 6:51 p.m. on Nov. 28th and located the pedestrian unresponsive in traffic lanes after the accident on Chapman Avenue.
Paramedics attempted to save the person’s life, but sadly they died at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver stopped and is cooperating with authorities.
The motorist told police officials they did not see the person in the roadway.
Police do not believe that drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash, but investigators continue to work on the case.
