Woman, 59, Killed in Crash on Valley View Street Near Chapman Avenue

GARDEN GROVE, Calif. (Nov. 20, 2023) — A fatal Garden Grove pedestrian accident happened Tuesday night on Valley View Street, north of Chapman Avenue.

The deadly collision occurred at around 10:26 p.m. on Nov. 14th, according to the Garden Grove Police Department.

The 59-year-old Garden Grove woman, who is believed to be homeless, was walking down the street when a vehicle struck her in the 11800 block of Valley View Street. Paramedics from Orange County Fire Authority responded and located the woman unresponsive in the roadway. She was pronounced deceased on scene, but her name was not released.

It’s unknown what led up to the collision between the woman and the 28-year-old Anaheim woman driving the vehicle.

The driver stopped and authorities did not report if drugs and or alcohol were a factor.
