Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Vehicle in Gardena

GARDENA, Calif. (August 13, 2026) – A male pedestrian died Wednesday morning in a traffic accident in Gardena on Western Avenue.

The Gardena Police Department is heading up the investigation into the crash responded around 7:55 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 12th in the 13200 block of Western Avenue.

The male victim was located unconscious in the roadway, the Gardena Police Department reported.

UPDATE: Pedestrian killed in Gardena crash is identified

Paramedics with the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded and transported the injured pedestrian to a hospital. Sadly, the unidentified person was later pronounced dead.

Finally, the driver of the vehicle stopped and cooperated with the investigation, police’ said.
