Deadly Crash Involving Pedestrian at Gardena Intersection
GARDENA, Calif. (Feb. 12, 2024) — A driver struck and killed a pedestrian Sunday at Vermont Avenue and El Segundo Boulevard in Gardena.
The traffic accident occurred just before 4 a.m. on Feb. 11th at the intersection, according to KTLA 5 News.
A female driver reportedly struck a woman in the roadway on Vermont Avenue, the report said.
The Gardena Police Department responded and questioned the driver who had stopped and called 911 for help.
Paramedics from the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded and transported the injured pedestrian to a hospital, but sadly she later died. The Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner has not released the victim’s name at this time.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances and will determine fault for the Gardena pedestrian accident on Vermont Avenue.
