Bicyclist Killed in Car Accident Near Gorman
GORMAN, Calif. (April 27, 2023) – A fatal Gorman bicycle accident happened late Wednesday night at Antelope Valley 14 Freeway and West Avenue C.
A driver reportedly struck the bicyclist around 11:06 p.m. on April 26th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Authorities are searching for a driver who fled in a gray Hyundai or Kia with right front carriage damage and right wheel well damage.
CHP officers responded to the northbound lanes of the 14 Freeway and located the bicyclist on the right side suffering from major injuries.
Gorman Fatal Bicycle Accident Investigation
Despite efforts to save his life, the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The person’s name, age and gender will be released after relatives are notified about the collision.
CHP officers shut down several lanes of the freeway to conduct an investigation into the cause of the Gorman bicycle accident on the 14 Freeway.
