2-Vehicle Crash on State Route 99 in Gridley
GRIDLEY, Calif. (Sept. 11, 2024) — A fatal head-on crash happened in Gridley on Wednesday morning when two vehicles collided on Highway 99 at Ord Ranch Road.
The traffic accident occurred at 6:13 a.m. on Sept. 11th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a silver Honda Civic and a silver GMC Denali were involved. One of the vehicles reportedly veered into the path of the other and they crashed head-on.
Paramedics responded to help those injured in the crash and tow trucks removed both of the damaged vehicles.
Unfortunately, at least one person died at the crash scene and the Butte County Sheriff’s Office requested the coroner respond.
The case remains under investigation.
