One Killed Hawthorne Crash on San Diego (405) Freeway
HAWTHORNE, Calif. (May 4, 2021) — A fatal Hawthorne car accident happened early Tuesday morning on the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway.
The Hawthorne crash happened about 3:25 a.m. on May 4th, just south of El Segundo Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.

It’s unknown at this time how many vehicles were involved. Also, details about what led up to the crash are unknown.
However, the identity of the fatally injured person will be released after his or her family is notified. Additionally, authorities did not provide the age or gender of the person who died.
Meanwhile, police directed traffic away from the area as they conducted an investigation into the cause of the fatal Hawthorne car accident.
Finally, witnesses are urged to reach out to the CHP to help them with the investigation.
