Pedestrian Struck and Killed on Interstate 880 Freeway
HAYWARD, Calif. (Nov. 4, 2022) — A driver struck and killed a pedestrian early Friday in an accident on the Interstate 880 Freeway at the West A Street off ramp in Hayward.
The collision occurred in the northbound lanes about 3:57 a.m. on Nov. 4th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
First responders located the person in the roadway, but they were not breathing. Sadly the person died within minutes of their arrival.
The motorist involved stopped and their vehicle was towed for evidence.
Meanwhile, investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Hayward pedestrian accident.
