Fatal Crash on State Route 12 in Stockton, San Joaquin County

SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, Calif., (July 13, 2026) — A head-on collision occurred early Monday morning in Lodi on Highway 12, resulting in a fatality, according to CHP authorities.

The incident was reported on July 13th at approximately 5:51 a.m. near the area of 8800 – 9299 State Route 12 near Guard Road. A black Honda sedan reportedly collided with a small Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck, leading to a devastating scene where one of the vehicles was fully engulfed in flames. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene, but despite their efforts, one individual succumbed to their injuries. Meanwhile, a second person was transported to a hospital in unknown condition.
