Deadly Crash on Sonoma County Road
SONOMA COUNTY, Calif. (June 26, 2024) — A fatal head-on crash happened Tuesday night on Old River Road in the Forestville area, just north of Santa Rosa in Sonoma County.
The two-vehicle collision occurred near 9711 Old River Road at around 10:08 p.m. on June 25th, according to the California Highway Patrol incident report.
The drivers of a blue 2010 Toyota Sienna and a red 2016 Chevrolet Sonic were involved.
Firefighters responded and extricated at least one person trapped in the wreckage following the traffic accident. Officials confirmed at least one person died, but it’s unknown if others were hurt in the crash on Old River Road.
Tow trucks removed both vehicles due to heavy damage and they will be held for evidence.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the collision and liability.
