One Killed in Palmdale Crash; Driver Arrested DUI Charges
PALMDALE, Calif. (Oct. 12, 2023) — One person died and another was arrested after a head-on crash Wednesday night on Palmdale Boulevard between 70th Street East and 80th Street East.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 9:04 p.m. on Oct. 11th, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Palmdale Station.
A suspected drunken driver was reportedly traveling eastbound on Palmdale Boulevard when they swerved into opposing traffic and collided head-on with a second motorist, MyNewsLA Reports.
A passenger in the second vehicle was transported to a hospital, but later died from their injuries, the report said.
Meanwhile, police investigating the crash determined the first driver was under the influence of alcohol and arrested the person.
Authorities closed down Palmdale Boulevard to investigate the crash scene.
