2 Killed, 1 Critically Injured in Crash Between Two Pickup Trucks
BUELTON, Calif. (Oct. 24, 2023) — Two people died and one person suffered major injuries in a head-on crash Sunday afternoon on Santa Rosa Road southwest of Buellton.
The two-vehicle collision occurred just after 5 p.m. on Oct. 22nd in the 6000 block of Santa Rosa Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of two Chevrolet pickup trucks collided when one driven by Cassidy Falk, 23, of Solvang, allegedly crossed the double yellow lines in the roadway and crashed into the second pickup truck.
Both Cassidy Falk and her passenger, Alia Griffin, 23, of Buellton, died at the scene, according to a report by Noozhawk.
The driver of the westbound Chevrolet pickup was identified as Morgan Bouslaugh, 22, of Buellton. He sustained major injuries in the collision.
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department responded to the scene and requested an air ambulance for the Buelton man to transport him to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
Investigators closed down the roadway in both directions to investigate the collision.
