Deadly Collision on US Route 95
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, Calif. (August 31, 2023) — A fatal two-vehicle crash happened Thursday morning on the northbound US Route 95 Highway, just south of Needles.
The collision occurred around 8:42 a.m. on August 31st, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a grey sedan and a maroon sedan were involved. One of the vehicles was a Nissan Sentra. The motorists collided head-on due to unknown circumstances and one of the vehicles wound up in a ditch.
Paramedics responded to help those injured and at least one person died in the crash.
Tow trucks removed both vehicles from the roadway.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner responded to the scene and will determine the cause of the person’s death.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault.
