One Dead, One Injured in Head-on Crash on W. Shaw Avenue
FRESNO, Calif. (June 26, 2024) — A fatal head-on crash happened early Wednesday morning at West Shaw Avenue and North Chateau Fresno Avenue.
The deadly crash occurred at around 4:10 a.m. on June 26th, according to the California Highway Patrol report.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a pickup truck and a small silver car were involved. The westbound Hyundai Tucson reportedly veered into the path of the eastbound Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and they hit head-on, Fox 26 News said.
The driver of the Hyundai died at the crash scene and the driver of the pickup truck was treated for minor injuries at the hospital. Both vehicles had major front-end damage.
Tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles and the Fresno County Sheriff Coroner responded.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on Shaw Avenue in Fresno.
