2 Killed, 3 Injured in Lancaster Car Accident
LANCASTER, Calif. (August 14, 2023) — Two people were killed and three people were injured Sunday afternoon in a head-on crash in Lancaster at 60th Street East and Avenue E.
Both drivers died in the two-vehicle crash and three passengers from the vehicles were injured including two with major injuries, according to MyNewsLA.
2-Vehicle Collision at Lancaster Intersection
The traffic accident occurred around 12:45 p.m. on August 13th at the Lancaster intersection, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The drivers of a Dodge Charger and a Chevrolet Silverado collided after one of them veered into the path of the other one. The two drivers suffered major injuries and died at the scene, according to fire officials. Hugo Amparo Ramirez, 22, was later identified as one of the drivers who died in the crash.
Meanwhile, paramedics rushed three people with injuries to Antelope Valley Hospital, according to KTLA 5 News.
Authorities are piecing together what happened and will determine the cause of the Lancaster crash on 60th Street.
Finally, the sheriff department’s Lancaster station is heading up the investigation.
