Deadly 2-Vehicle Crash on the I-15 Freeway
HESPERIA, Calif. (Sept. 14, 2022) — A fatal Hesperia crash on the northbound Interstate 15 Freeway happened Wednesday morning between Main Street and Live Oak Street.
The two-vehicle collision occurred about 4:51 a.m. on Sept. 14th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a white sedan and a second sedan collided due to unknown circumstances on the freeway over the California Aqueduct. One of the vehicles wound up in the center divider and the other on the right shoulder where it stopped near the perimeter fence by Mariposa Road.
Paramedics responded, but sadly, at least one person died at the scene of the crash. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office came to the freeway to handle the fatality.
Meanwhile, Caltrans closed down the No. 3 lane and let traffic continue in the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of the I-15 Freeway.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault.
