One Killed, One Seriously Injured in Crash at Hesperia Intersection
HESPERIA, Calif. (August 27, 2024) — A fatal Hesperia crash happened Monday morning at Mariposa Road and Ranchero Road.
A second person was airlifted to a hospital after the two-vehicle collision at 4:30 a.m. on Monday, August 26th, according to Victor Valley News Group.
The drivers involved included a white 2001 Nissan Sentra and a white Ford work truck with the company name of Rising Edge.
Authorities investigating the crash, have determined the driver in the Ford truck was eastbound on Ranchero Road and allegedly failed to stop at a red traffic light. The car crashed into the passenger side of a southbound Nissan that was traveling on a green light along Mariposa Road.
Sadly, the passenger riding in the Nissan suffered fatal injuries and died on scene, police said.
The San Bernardino County Fire Department responded and requested a helicopter to transport the driver of the Nissan to a hospital due to major injuries.
Finally, the identity of the person who died was not released.
