Fatal Hesperia Pedestrian Accident Bear Valley Road and Bornite Avenue
Man, 66, Struck and Killed Near Hesperia Intersection
HESPERIA, Calif. (March 25, 2025) — A 66-year-old Phelan man died Sunday night in a Hesperia pedestrian accident at Bear Valley Road and Bornite Avenue.
The deadly traffic accident occurred around 10:25 p.m. on March 23rd, according to the Hesperia Police Department.
Authorities sent police and paramedics from the San Bernardino County Fire Department to the scene to help those involved after a driver in a 2017 Audi A6 struck the victim.
The 34-year-old Oak Hills man driving the Audi was traveling in the eastbound number one lane on Bear Valley Road when the car struck the pedestrian. The victim was attempting to cross the road near the intersection with Bornite Avenue.
Unfortunately, the Phelan man suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
The Hesperia Station Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) is handling the investigation.
Authorities will determine whether or not drugs or alcohol or other factors contributed to the crash.
