Man, 23, Killed Fatal Highway 41 Crash; Woman Arrested DUI
FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (Nov. 11, 2020) — A 23-year-old Caruthers man died Tuesday night in a head-on collision with a suspected DUI driver in a U-Haul pickup truck on Highway 41 near Riverdale.
Police arrested a 33-year-old woman for driving under the influence after she allegedly caused the fatal Highway 41 crash in Fresno County, according to ABC30 Action News.
The California Highway Patrol stated that Amber Sexton, 33, was driving a white U-Haul pickup truck southbound on Highway 41. She allegedly crossed over into the northbound lane near Riverdale. Meanwhile, an oncoming vehicle managed to swerve out of the way and crashed into a fence.

However, the U-Haul rental truck crashed head-on into a blue Honda Civic driven by a 23-year-old Caruthers man.
The driver in the Honda was airlifted to a Fresno hospital in critical condition. He later died at the hospital. The coroner has not yet released his name.
Additionally, a third vehicle was struck in the aftermath of the head-on collision. Police say that driver was uninjured.
After the crash, Sexton was hospitalized for moderate injuries before she was arrested, the CHP said.
The highway was closed for several hours on Tuesday night.
