Bicycle Rider Struck and Killed in Stockton
STOCKTON, Calif. (July 20, 2023) — A fatal Stockton bicycle accident involving a hit-and-run driver happened Tuesday night at Pacific Avenue and Yokuts Avenue.
The collision occurred around 10:14 p.m. on July 18th, according to the Stockton Police Department and Fox 40 News.
A man in his 60s was riding a bicycle when he was struck by a motorist due to unknown circumstances. He was found unresponsive in the roadway, but by the time paramedics arrived he had already passed away.
Meanwhile, the suspect driving the vehicle fled the scene without stopping to help the man. There is no vehicle description at this time.
The Stockton Police Department is heading up the investigation into the fatal bicycle accident on Pacific Avenue. Witnesses are urged to contact police.
