Fatal South Los Angeles Hit-and-Run
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Nov. 28, 2022) — A fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident happened at 89th Street and Central Avenue in the Green Meadows area of south Los Angeles.
Tony Hernandez, 48, died in the 10:22 p.m. crash on Nov. 27th after being struck by a vehicle while crossing a street, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner.
The Los Angeles Police Department said the man was walking westbound across Central Avenue. A northbound vehicle struck him, but failed to stop after the collision and continued driving, police said.
Sadly, the pedestrian suffered major injuries and died at the scene.
The investigation into the fatal crash is ongoing.
