Woman, 41, Struck by SUV in the Florence-Graham Area

SOUTH LOS ANGELES, Calif. (July 19, 2024) — A 41-year-old woman died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident early Friday at Central Avenue and 82nd Street in South Los Angeles.

The deadly collision occurred at around 12:30 a.m. on July 19th, according to MyNewsLA.

The Los Angeles Police Department responded to the scene of the crash in the Florence-Graham neighborhood where they located the woman in the roadway.

Witnesses told police a driver in a southbound dark SUV struck the woman as she was walking in the roadway and fled the scene.

Investigators are working to determine fault for the hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Central Avenue.
