Man Killed in Bakersfield Pedestrian Accident
BAKERSFIELD, CALIF. (April 3, 2023) — A fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident happened early Monday on the southbound Highway 99, near 7th Standard in north Bakersfield.
The pedestrian laying in the southbound lanes of Highway 99 around 1:04 a.m. on April 3, 2023, according to Bakersfield Now.
Police determined the man had been hit by a vehicle, but the driver fled the scene. Meanwhile, the victim suffered major injuries and died at the scene.
Authorities did not release the victim’s name or age at this time. Also, there is no immediate description of the vehicle involved.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Bakersfield hit and run crash.
