Man in His 50s Struck and Killed in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (July 16, 2024) – A pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run accident early Tuesday in downtown Los Angeles on Fourth Street near Wall Street.
Police are now searching for the driver and vehicle involved in the hit-and-run crash, according to a report by MyNewsLA.
The Los Angeles Police Department responded to the scene at around 3:30 a.m. on July 16th and located the man down in the roadway.
Pedestrian Hit-and-run Car Accident on Fourth Street
They believe the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while walking on Fourth Street. A driver who was making a left turn from Wall Street onto Fourth Street struck him and left him for dead.
Meanwhile, his death was confirmed upon the arrival of paramedics with the Los Angeles Fire Department.
LAPD investigators are searching for the suspect in the vehicle that fled the scene, but there are no further details at this time.
Finally, the investigation into the pedestrian accident on Fourth Street is headed up by the LAPD’s Central Traffic Division.
