2 Pedestrians Struck by Motorist
SOUTH LOS ANGELES, Calif. (July 14, 2023) — A man is dead and another man injured in a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Santa Rosalia Drive in South Los Angeles.
The collision occurred around 9:30 p.m. in the 4200 block of Santa Rosalia Drive, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
A driver struck two men walking in the Crenshaw neighborhood and fled the scene. A witness called 911 for help after seeing the injured men down in the roadway. Paramedics responded and rushed both men to a hospital, but unfortunately the 85-year-old man died. The 40-year-old pedestrian was treated for unknown injuries and is listed in stable condition.
Police continue to search for the driver who failed to stop and help the two injured men, but they have not released a vehicle description.
An investigation into the Santa Rosalia Drive pedestrian accident is underway.
