Woman, 30, Killed in Rollover Crash; Driver Arrested DUI
HOLLISTER, Calif. (Oct. 9, 2022) — A fatal Hollister crash on Highway 25 happened early Sunday, just south of Briggs Road.
The collision occurred on State Route 25 about 3:27 a.m. on Oct. 9th between Briggs and Wright roads, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A Tesla occupied by a man and woman reportedly went off the roadway, struck a concrete cylinder and rolled over onto its roof, the report said.
A 30-year-old woman riding as a passenger in the Telsa suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene, according to KION 46 News.
Meanwhile, the 34-year-old man driving the vehicle suffered undisclosed injuries. Paramedics transported him to Natividad Medical Center.
Furthermore, the CHP determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol and or drugs at the time of the crash. They arrested the suspect on DUI charges, but there are no further details.
Finally, the woman who died has not been identified pending notification of her next of kin.
