 One Killed, 3 Injured Huntington Beach Bicycle Accident on PCH, Beach Blvd.

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (Oct. 20, 2025) – One man is dead, two other men are injured after a driver in a Mercedes-Benz struck three bicyclists Monday morning on Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach.

UPDATE: Eric John Williams, 45, of Garden Grove, has been identified as the cyclist who died. He was a pastor and the founder of Community Church of West Garden Grove, according to a GoFundMe supporting his wife and four children.

The crash was reported on Oct. 20th about 6:45 a.m. amid heavy fog in the area at PCH between Beach Boulevard and Newland Street, according to Huntington Beach Public Affairs Manager Corbin Carson.

Paramedics pronounced one of the riders dead at the scene and transported two others to hospitals for treatment of serious injuries, the report said. The two injured victims are being treated for spinal fractures, broken ribs, and a broken ankle.

The Amber Kristine Calderon, 43, of Long Beach was driving the gold 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class and has been arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run, driving under the influence causing bodily harm, gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, and possession of a hard drug with two prior convictions. She was approximately a half-mile away when she pulled over, Carson said.

Authorities have closed down southbound PCH at Beach Boulevard to work on the case.
