Woman Killed in 3-Vehicle Crash in Huntington Beach
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (August 24, 2023) – A fatal Huntington Beach car accident happened Wednesday morning at Garfield Avenue and Magnolia Street.
The three-vehicle collision occurred around 10:30 a.m. on August 23rd at the Huntington Beach intersection, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department.
The drivers of a black Nissan Sentra, a white BMW 5 series, and a white Ford Ranger were involved, police said.
Fatal Accident Garfield Avenue
The driver in the BMW was heading eastbound on Garfield Avenue when the Nissan pulled out in front of the car from a shopping center parking lot on the south side. The BMW crashed into the driver’s side of the Nissan and then the BMW collided with the Ford pickup truck that was stopped in a westbound lane on Garfield Avenue.
Paramedics responded to the scene and transported a 59-year-old Huntington Beach woman and her male passenger to a hospital. They were both listed in critical condition, but the woman later died at the hospital.
Also, the 40-year-old Huntington Beach woman driving the BMW and the 42-year-old Norwalk man driving the Ford were both treated by paramedics and released at the scene. The two drivers both cooperated with police officers and the investigation.
