Man, 42, Killed in Crash on Beach Boulevard
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (August 23, 2022) — A fatal Huntington Beach pedestrian accident happened Sunday night on Beach Boulevard, just south of Ellis Avenue.
A driver in a northbound 2008 Toyota Camry struck John Martinez, 42, of Huntington Beach, outside of a crosswalk on Beach Boulevard.
The collision occurred about 10:30 p.m. on August 21st, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department.
Paramedics responded and rushed the injured man to a hospital where he later died.
The Orange County Sheriff Coroner later released the victim’s name, according to the Daily Pilot.
Meanwhile, the 42-year-old Hemet woman driving the Toyota stopped and cooperated with authorities. Police did not find drugs or alcohol were a factor for the driver.
Investigators are working on the case and ask witnesses to call police at 714-536-5670.
