Huntington Beach Man, 45, Killed in Beach Boulevard Pedestrian Accident
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (July 7, 2021) — A fatal Huntington Beach pedestrian accident happened early Monday on Beach Boulevard at Garfield Avenue.
A 45-year-old Huntington Beach man died after stepping in front of an oncoming 2018 Kia Rio traveling southbound on Beach Boulevard, according to the Daily Pilot.
The car struck the victim about 2:52 a.m. on Beach Boulevard at Garfield Avenue, police said.
The victim suffered fatal injuries before police arrived at the scene.
Meanwhile, the 35-year-old Anaheim man driving the Kia stopped and cooperated with officers.
Drugs or alcohol were not considered factors in the accident, police officials said.
The investigation into liability is ongoing.
