Florida Woman, 34, Killed in Crash
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (July 31, 2023) — A Florida woman died July 23rd in a Huntington Beach pedestrian accident on Beach Boulevard, just north of Williams Drive.
The driver of a grey 2019 Hyundai Kona struck the 34-year-old woman around 11 p.m., according to a press release by the Huntington Beach Police Department.
The 18-year-old Upland woman driving the car was heading northbound on Beach Boulevard when she struck the victim in the No. 1 lane of the roadway. The unidentified Florida woman died at the scene of the crash. Authorities say the pedestrian was not in a marked crosswalk.
Meanwhile, the Upland driver stopped and cooperated with the police investigation into the Huntington Beach pedestrian accident.
The HBPD Multidisciplinary Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) is handling the case. Preliminary results indicated that police do not suspect drunk driving was a factor.
