Indio Car Versus Truck Accident on I-10 Freeway
INDIO, Calif. (March 9, 2022) – A fatal Indio two-vehicle car accident happened late Tuesday on the Interstate 10 Freeway.
The crash happened about 11:45 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8th when the drivers of a car and a semi-truck collided on the eastbound Interstate 10 Freeway west of Monroe Street, the CHP and the Riverside County Fire Department reported.
Authorities report at least one person died in the traffic accident. However, the identity of the person is unknown at this time, but the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner says the victim was an adult male.
Meanwhile, a second person suffered a minor injury in the collision. Paramedics responded to the scene and transported one person by ambulance to a hospital hospital for treatment.
CHP officials say the circumstances leading up to the crash remain under investigation. Police will determine fault for the crash and liability based on evidence and witness statements.
