Motorcycle Rider Killed in Indio Crash Identified
INDIO, Calif. (Oct. 25, 2023) — Daniel Hernandez, 24, of Thermal, died Sunday afternoon in an Indio accident involving his motorcycle and another vehicle at Monroe Street and San Jacinto Avenue.
The traffic accident occurred at around 12:24 p.m. on Oct. 22nd, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.
The Indio Police Department responded to the intersection and located the young man unresponsive in the roadway, the Desert Sun reports.
Paramedics were also at the scene within a few minutes of the crash, but the motorcyclist died soon after the collision.
Meanwhile, the Riverside County coroner’s office later identified the victim as Daniel Hernandez.
Investigators working on the case report that Hernandez was traveling on Monroe Street and approaching San Jacinto Avenue. That’s when another vehicle collided with the bike due to unknown reasons.
Finally, authorities continue to work on the case in an effort to determine fault for the fatal motorcycle accident in Indio.
