Pedestrian Struck, Killed on Von Karman Avenue, Dupont Drive
IRVINE, Calif. (Nov. 4, 2022) – A fatal pedestrian accident happened Thursday night on Von Karman Avenue, just north of Dupont Drive in Irvine.
Now authorities are searching for the hit-and-run driver who fled the scene.
Paramedics located the gravely injured pedestrian about 9:11 p.m. on Nov. 3rd. The person was down in a southbound lane in the 2200 block of Von Karman Avenue, according to the Irvine Police Department.
Despite efforts to save the person’s life, they died at the scene.
Meanwhile, authorities did not release a description of the vehicle involved in the crash.
Investigators closed down all traffic lanes on Von Karman Avenue between Dupont and Michelson drives.
