Motorcyclist Killed in Crash in Irvine
IRVINE, Calif. (Jan. 2, 2025) – A 65-year-old Santa Ana motorcyclist died New Year’s Day in a crash on Alton Parkway at Foster, just south of Irvine Boulevard in Irvine.
The traffic accident occurred around 4:50 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1st, between Irvine Boulevard and Fairbanks, according to City News Service.
The motorcyclist, identified as Kenneth Joseph McLeod, was heading southbound on Alton and allegedly drove through a red light at Foster before hitting a northbound Tesla. Police say the driver in the car was turning left with a green left-turn light from Alton onto westbound Foster, police said.
The unidentified motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
