Pickup Truck Crashes Under Semi-Truck Trailer
KERN COUNTY, Calif. (June 7, 2021) — A fatal Kern County crash involving a semi-truck happened Monday morning at Magnolia and Merced avenues near Wasco.
The collision involved a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck that became trapped underneath a semi-truck, according to the California Highway Patrol. It’s unknown what led up to the collision at this time. The driver of the truck was a 33-year-old Wasco man.
2-Vehicle Fatal Kern County Crash Near Wasco
The crash happened about 12:02 p.m. on June 7th at the Kern County intersection. Additionally, the CHP report stated at least one person died in the crash, however, it’s unknown how many were in the pickup truck. Authorities will release the name of the Wasco man who died after relatives are notified.
Meanwhile, the vehicles blocked the intersection for roughly an hour before two tow trucks responded.
Investigators seek to determine the cause of the fatal Kern County crash and liability.
