Motorcyclist Killed in Car Accident on State Route 18 in Lake Arrowhead
LAKE ARROWHEAD, Calif. (Sept. 23, 2024) — A fatal Lake Arrowhead motorcycle crash happened Monday along State Route 18 or Rim of the World Scenic Byway.
The two-vehicle collision occurred on Highway 18 at 5:43 a.m. on Sept. 23rd, just west of Crest Park Road, according to the California Highway Patrol report.
CHP officials reported a black GMC Sierra and a motorcyclist were involved, but it’s unknown what led up to the accident.
The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Office responded after paramedics confirmed the rider’s death on the scene.
Police are working to determine what caused the crash and liability.
Police closed down northbound SR-18 at Rim of the World and southbound lanes at Highway 173.
