2 Killed, 2 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Car Accident
LAKE LOS ANGELES, Calif. (August 20, 2024) — Jesus Garcia Ibarra, 30, is one of two killed in a head-on fatal crash Monday on East Palmdale Boulevard in Lake Los Angeles.
The collision involving three vehicles occurred on Palmdale Blvd., at 152nd Street East around 11:40 a.m., in the Antelope Valley, according to a CHP traffic dispatch and AV Press.
A blue sedan and a black SUV collided head-on, at least one hit a third vehicle and a power pole was knocked down during the crash.
Police and firefighters responded and confirmed two people dead at the scene.
Jesus Garcia Ibarra was later identified as one of the two people who died by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner’s office. The name of the second victim will be released after relatives are notified.
Meanwhile, a third person had minor injuries and a four was taken to a hospital in critical condition, police said. A fifth person survived with no injuries reported on scene.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash.
